CINN Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus Program
Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus (NPH) is a debilitating
disease, which most commonly begins in late adulthood.
Up to three-quarters of a million Americans that are
diagnosed with dementia, Alzheimers or Parkinsons
disease may actually have NPH. Today, less than 20 percent
of NPH patients are appropriately diagnosed. Although
it is a difficult-to-diagnose disorder, NPH is a readily
treatable and many times reversible condition. It may
disguise itself as a hopeless disease, but it is not.
With the proper treatment, patients with NPH can lead
normal, productive lives. Effective treatment of NPH
requires the efforts of physician experts who have had
years of experience treating the disease.
The CINN Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus program led
by Dr. Gail
Rosseau at the Neurologic & Orthopedic Hospital
of Chicago, offers a multi-faceted approach to the treatment
of NPH. This treatment model allows for the optimal
and comprehensive care of patients and exceptional outcomes.
